Our Student Spotlight for October is Joy Stewart!




Joy Stewart, MBA

FAU Masters in Social Work Student

Joy grew up in Jamaica W.I. where she attended high school and college majoring in Hospitality Management. At 21 she migrated to America to continue her education and earned her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and a few years later earned her Master’s in Business Administration from Nova University. She spent several years working in the Hospitality Industry before making the decision to pursue her dream to become a change agent for our vulnerable populations. Today she is an AmeriCorps member, a member of Volunteer Broward and also serves as a Listener for the Broward County Mental Health Association working with youths in Broward County school system.

She is looking forward to graduation day and the opportunity to spend the rest of her career to improve the lives of those in need.
